We are planning a short Disney trip

We decided we wanted to Disney trip to celebrate both of our daughters’ birthdays! We contacted our favorite travel planner, and she helped us pick the perfect resort and dining plan. When planning a short Disney trip, there are several things to consider, such as which parks to visit and where to eat. It is a good idea to plan to eat where you will be to reduce travel time and maximize your fun!

We get to see our best friends and my sister-in-law!

Our best friends recently moved to Florida, not too far from Walt Disney World, so we see our trips there as an opportunity to spend some time with them. My wife’s sister also moved to Florida after graduating from college, and she has been able to come to visit us while we are in Walt Disney World. Our family loves the magic we experience during our trips, and it is even more fun when we can share in the magic with those we love!

I have become friends with several people since becoming a part of the Disney community, and hopefully, our paths will cross while we are in the area!

We are celebrating our daughters’ birthdays!

While our daughters are several years apart in age, their birthdays are only five days apart, and they both happen to coincide with our trip! The Cast Members at Walt Disney World never fail to make you feel special when you are celebrating something (I just love hearing them say, “Happy birthday, princess!”). As part of their celebration, we have let our daughters plan the bigger parts of their birthdays, such as which park we are going to visit, and which restaurant would like to have their birthday meal. That means we are going to visit Hollywood Studios and eat at Rainforest Cafe one day and visit Magic Kingdom and see Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness another. Since we are planning a short Disney trip, planning is important to manage our time. It was fun and exciting for me to see the girls get involved with the planning. We also ordered custom-made Birthday Ears from Magical Mara Designs to help them celebrate!

Happy birthday, Princesses! Happy birthday, Princesses!

Toy Story Land!

Toy Story Land opened the week after our last trip in June, so we have only seen pictures and videos. We are very excited to see the new land, especially as they are decorating it for Christmas as part of the Flurry of Fun at Hollywood Studios.

We are going to see the Candlelight Processional!

Candlelight Processional is another new experience we are looking forward to. I have seen videos of it, and it looks to be an absolutely beautiful experience. It will be nice to see a show that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We will be experiencing the International Festival of the Holidays in Epcot, and I am excited to be able to show my kids some of the other traditions from around the world.

On an unrelated note, I did score bonus points because the celebrity narrator for the show we are attending is John Stamos!

We get to ride Avatar Flight of Passage again!

Pandora-The Land of Avatar is a visually stunning addition to Animal Kingdom. Avatar Flight of Passage was a must-do, and we did get to ride this last trip, and it is hands down the most amazing attraction we have ever ridden! We filled up one of the pods and there is still argument amongst our family about which one of them was screaming at the top of their lungs. I am interested to see if this happens again.

And so much more!

These five experiences are just the tip of the iceberg. I feel it is a lot of experiences for just planning a short Disney trip! My list of things that I am excited for is a mile long and also includes flying instead of driving (we will literally be there in the amount of time we spend stopping for restroom and gas breaks) and staying at Port Orleans-Riverside. I am so excited that we get to experience Christmas-time again at Walt Disney World. I can’t wait to report back and let you know how it all went.
